QBER-Professor of International Financial Markets

He studied Economics at University of Giessen. Before joining the Department in April 2011 he was an Economist at Deutsche Bundesbank and acted as Head of the Research Group "Monetary Policy and Asset Prices". Prof. Reitz also has a half-time research position at the Kiel Institute for the World Economy.

His main research interests are in Microstructural Analysis of Financial Markets, Heterogenous Expectations and Applied Nonlinear Econometrics.

Prof. Reitz is associate editor of Applied Economics and has published in a number of internationally recognized peer reviewed journals, including the European Economic Review, Journal of Economics Dynamics and Control, Economic Record and European Journal of Finance.
